In the 1950s, the Chicken Rice dish begins to establish its fame as Singapore's number one cuisine. Huat's Chicken Rice stall enters a period of turmoil as conflict over the inheritance of the stall tears the brotherhood between Huat and Hock apart. Xuan and Richard, the progeny of Huat and Hock respectively, were forced against their will into this inheritance episode. Xuan aspires to own the stall while Richard aspires to be a fashion designer, but Hock insists that Richard take over the stall instead of Xuan and drives the latter out of home.

Will Xuan regain ownership of the stall or will she succumb to her fate?

Is there no way out for the next generation to fulfill their aspirations?
